This notice explains how Buddy uses information when you visit yourhomebuddy.ai, use our apps, create an account, request services or apply to work with us. Contact c.lory@yourhomebuddy.ai about your information.

Information we collect

• Account information: your name, email address, sign-in identifiers, verification status and any phone number you provide.
• Google sign-in: if you choose Google, we receive your basic profile, email address and account identifier. Signing in does not give Buddy access to your Gmail, contacts, calendar or Drive.
• Your household and services: information you enter about your home, building, area, household members, service preferences and visit instructions, together with bookings and visit status.
• Enquiries and applications: your contact details, location, selected plan and information you submit in a worker application, including experience, skills and availability.
• Payments: billing references, amounts, currency and payment or subscription status. Stripe processes payment details; Buddy does not store full card numbers.
• Technical information: session identifiers, device and browser information, IP addresses and security or error logs used by our hosting and authentication providers. The website may use your connection's country to suggest a pricing market.

How we use it

We use this information to create and secure accounts, verify email addresses, respond to requests, manage households and visits, review worker applications, process payments, provide support and prevent abuse. We use Google account information for sign-in, account identification and the profile shown in Buddy.

Who receives it

Buddy's administrators can access information needed to operate the service. Approved workers receive the household and visit information needed for work assigned to them; an application alone does not provide access to customer records.

We use Clerk for customer and worker authentication and verification emails, Supabase for account and service records and owner authentication, Cloudflare for hosting and enquiry storage, and Stripe for payments. These providers process relevant information to deliver their services and may process it in countries other than your own. Google processes your sign-in under its own privacy policy when you choose that option.

We do not sell account or Google sign-in information. We may disclose information when required by law or when necessary to protect accounts, people or the service.

Cookies and local storage

Buddy and its authentication providers use cookies and device storage to keep you signed in, protect your session and remember account or market settings. Blocking these can prevent sign-in or other account features from working.

Keeping and deleting information

We retain information while needed for your account, requested services, applications, support, security and any applicable record-keeping obligations. Retention depends on the information and purpose; payment or dispute records may need to remain after an account closes. Deleted information may remain temporarily in provider backups.

You can update available profile and sign-in details in your account. To request access, correction, deletion or account closure, email c.lory@yourhomebuddy.ai from your account address. We may need to verify your identity before acting. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, including rights to object, restrict processing, receive a copy of your information or complain to a data protection authority.
